Approach

My photographic approach to weddings leans towards "photojournalistic" - capture real moments as opposed to posed, manufactured ones. I don't rigidly follow this principle, as I may ask you to look this way briefly, but I generally allow you to enjoy your day as-is. During any formal portrait time, I take charge and offer instructions on posing and groupings as appropriate. I capture real moments and emotions as they flow by reacting to the unique events at your wedding. My hands-off approach allows for natural candid photos that focus on the interactions between you and your loved ones.

My style is to not interfere with your space-- I will not be constantly stepping in a foot away from your face with a huge lens. While I may grab a handful of 'intimate' photos during the day, I will generally be unobtrusive. I enjoy making photos of just the couple the most-- because I simply let you two enjoy your first moments as newlyweds together, and perhaps do some creative poses, lighting or compositions with you. I am fully committed to bringing you top level quality and customer service. I understand first hand the need for an unobtrusive, professional, and competent wedding photographer.

I like to keep things loose and light hearted. You'll catch me joking with the bridal party at appropriate times, while remaining professional at key moments during the day. I always welcome your input and ideas. I take the trust you place in me seriously and remain focused & attentive the entire wedding. I truly enjoy providing creative and heirloom quality photos for you and your family.
